Building a Custom Secure File Transfer Site for TicTax Pro

Darkstar Media built a complete WordPress website for TicTax Pro featuring a custom secure file transfer plugin. This Mississauga accounting firm needed a way for clients to safely upload sensitive tax documents without relying on email or third-party services.

TicTax Pro has served Canadian clients since 1994, handling everything from personal income tax returns to corporate financial statements. Their new site needed to reflect that professionalism while solving a practical problem: secure document exchange.

Custom Plugin for Tax Document Sharing

We developed a proprietary secure file transfer plugin built specifically for TicTax Pro’s workflow:

Bilingual Site with ACF Architecture

Custom Theme Development
Instead of page builders, we built a custom theme using ACF Flexible Content blocks. This gives TicTax Pro clean, fast-loading pages with reusable content components they can manage themselves.

English and Vietnamese using Polylang Plugin

The entire site operates in both languages using Polylang—navigation, content, forms, and the file transfer portal. We researched keywords in both languages and optimized accordingly.

SEO Foundation

Before writing code, we conducted keyword research for Canadian tax services. The custom theme includes built-in schema markup and optimized structure targeting terms like tax preparation, accounting services, and business registrations.

Performance matters. The custom theme loads faster than template-based sites, which helps with both user experience and search rankings.
